Tim Horton's is Americans owned.

Home Hardware has mostly left my area. Thankfully, there’s Rona and a local Tim-Br-Mart that is mostly locally owned and operated, so that’s where I get most stuff.

Home Depot is an American company.

I really hope McyD’s runs away from Canada and new Canadian fast food joints take over. I do not want McDicks to do what A&W did and create a new company that is some other company separate from the US A&W.

The leaf has been on McDonald’s Canada for as long as I can remember… but I haven’t eaten at a Canadian McDonalds this year at all.

Timmies is international now, and their HQ is in Canada.

You’re assuming that those currently holding the shares will sell. But in all fairness, per Wikipedia, a generous chunk of RBI is held by a Brazilian investment company, and former Tim Hortons shareholders still hold some shares, so somewhere between 1/2 and 2/3 American-owned? Which still isn’t great.

Agreed, but don’t use false claims to try and discredit it further. It just makes you look weak.

Stopped buying McD’s about 6-7yrs ago. I would eat their breakfast all the time. Then I had to make mine at home for reasons for a bit. Noticed I was hungry about a half hour after I ate McD’s but not when I made brekky at home.

While RBI is headquartered in Toronto, Canada, and pays corporate taxes there, it’s often mistakenly perceived as a Canadian company, largely due to the presence of Tim Hortons

But it’s not headquartered in Canada. The Tim Horton’s office is … but BK, Popeyes and Firehouse Subs are headquartered in the US.

The last time I went to a McDonalds was probably two decades ago, and only to use their washroom.
