Check out the MarkMyWords community!
-
A few months ago I created the MarkMyWords community here on Lemmy. Similar to the original subreddit, this is a community where users can come and share their predictions about the future with everyone so they can have proof that they’ve called it before it happened.
I made this community to boost text based posts on Lemmy because I think that’s where the best and most engaging discussions happen. Please take a minute to check out the community and maybe even leave a prediction of your own if you feel like it!
Mark My Words - Lemmy.World
Have a prediction about the future that you’re confident in? Post it here so you can have evidence that you’ve called it before it happened. Posting guidelines: - Be Specific and avoid vague language. Say what will happen, where, and to whom. - Your prediction should be falsifiable. If it can’t be disproven then it’s not a prediction, but a belief. - Include a clear time frame. Predictions without dates are just wishful thinking. - Speak with Confidence, your predictions should avoid using words like “might” or “could”. - Ensure your prediction could be verified so others can check to see if it came true. - Predictions should involve risk. If something is guaranteed, it’s not a prediction, it’s a spoiler. Rules: 1. All posts titles must start with “MMW:” 2. You have to explain your prediction. Posts can’t just be the title 3. Follow the guidelines 4. Low quality posts will be removed (e.g. jokes, too vague, too far out in future)

I don’t know man. This just sounds like it will be depressing to read.

Not every prediction needs to be pessimistic. You could always help contribute more optimistic predictions of your own.

If I manage to come up with any, I will let you know.
