If you haven’t played Anthem, you missed out.

It has some of the tightest gameplay I’ve ever experienced. Combat was satisfying. Traversal was a joy.

I’ll never understand how people could throw that away just because the endgame wasn’t there yet. The gameplay is the hardest part to get right!

the gaming community at large have a habit of latching on to the idea of a game being “bad” and then dismissing that game as a joke. or meming that game and shaming those that play.

they forget it could be someone’s favorite game. something someone has hundreds of hours invested in. just because its not your favorite game doesn’t mean it’s bad.

there’s far too many cookie cutter comments in this thread to the tune of “lol the entire player base.” “its dead. and good riddance.”

these are the same gamers that want to sign petitions to stop killing games from being removed from live service that people have loved and invested time and money in.

I was under the impression they pulled this shortly after launch. Did it come back at some point?

No, but they’ve kept the servers on all this time so while the games was not getting updates it was still playable.

I uninstalled when EA denied Bioware the resources for the overhaul project, since that meant it was only a matter of time before the plug got pulled. Super disappointing too, since Anthem would’ve been my “perfect” game, had they reworked it to a good state.

Yeah I was gonna say, a real game would have had at least thousands.
